How Cute Is This Kid??

William is seven and a half months old...where has the time gone? He is about 21-22 pounds, sitting up like a champ, has two sharp little razor like teeth and a couple more about to poke through, smiling and laughing like crazy, and even waved bye bye for the nanny today. He is so much fun - I don't want him to change because he is so adorable and cuddly and playful right now...but he isn't mobile so he can't destroy my house or escape from me yet!
We had his pictures taken by a cute photographer in Idaho a couple of weeks ago and he was really sweet and cooperative, but would not show us his biggest dimple-y smile. Maybe next time.

Blessing Day

Buck blessed Little William last Sunday during church. He did a wonderful job, and it turned out to be a great day! We really love our ward and the friends we have made there, plus our great families were there to support us as well. I can't believe how much I love this little guy and how perfect he was during his blessing; I guess he knew something special was going on. We get a lot of jokes about how huge he is - the bishop said "Good thing there were lots of big guys up here in the circle, that is one hefty boy!" ha ha. We're pretty proud of our humongous guy!

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween, I haven't dressed up in a long time and it was so fun to have lots of kids here. We worked it at the ward trunk-or-treat and made a stop at Grandma Janet's and the Nelsons. William was adorable and pretty happy considering his costume kept falling down over his eyes. I hate the scary part of Halloween, but I think I could learn to love the fun, family side of it all.

Two cute boys - 7 weeks apart! Emmett is my friend Lyndsey's baby, it's been so fun being new Mommys together. We love sweet Emmett, I wish you could see it in these pictures, he puts William to shame in the hair department - but not so much in size :) Thanks for letting us visit Lynds! We'll have lots of future playdates I hope.

Punkin Patch

We visited the pumpkin patch this week. Next time we'll be sure to go before dark and before the rain...we had to hurry! We uncovered the boy long enough for a picture, you can tell he didn't appreciate that. We did get three perfect pumpkins, and hopefully they will be carved before halloween. Thanks Mason and Angie for joining us, we sure love you.
(apparently I lost an earring earlier that day and nobody bothered to tell me, I noticed when I went to take them out for bed...thanks guys!)

Could our Baby William be any sweeter? I love him so!

The cradle makes these pictures, it was my mom's...the very one I (and my 7 bros/sisters) slept in...precious.

And I love his new hat - I saw it on etsy and knew we had to have it.

I am practicing my photography and editing skills (since I can't afford a real photographer :))...what do you think of our photo shoot today?

The Waiting Game...

His room is 'basically' ready and looking so cute, his little clothes are clean and filling his red dresser, we're stocked on diapers and wipes, our hospital bags are packed, and I field about ten calls per day asking if I'm in labor yet (8 of these are Buck).

The doctor has been telling me for almost a month that it's 'any day now' and he is always joking that I won't make it to my next appointment; not to mention commenting on how huge this baby must be. Well, I keep coming back pregnant every week, and the baby (slash my belly) keeps growing. I am beginning to think it's all a cruel joke and I will be pregnant forever!!!

Where are you little baby? Your mama is ready to meet you and rock you in our cute chair...I made you a hundred blankets!

Jetblue Passes For Sale!

I have two free flights on Jetblue. Unfortunately we won't be able to use them, so I am selling them to the highest bidder :).
They are award seats so they can't be used on any flight, but if you book in advance it's usually pretty flexible and they are NOT standby, once you book you are confirmed. . They have to be booked by July 31st but you can book out until January 4th (I think). They can be used for two people one way or one person round trip and you can check availabilty on their website - just enter your travel details and instead of selecting lowest fare or refundable fare choose award and available flights will show up for $0.

Fish Tales

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Idaho at Buck's family cabin. I guess the free fisherman's breakfast at the park was good luck for Buck! I think that's the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face :)

I opted out of the fishing trips and read a book, elevated my puffy feet - and of course enjoyed Grandma Doris' cooking!

Happy Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was uneventful, although I did get a darling necklace from my husband and I pretty much relaxed all day long even though I should have cleaned. I like what my sister Kimberly said - it's the easiest Mother's Day I'll ever have...ha ha! We are 25 weeks along and I can't believe it's getting so close, Mr William (no middle name yet) LeCheminant will be here very soon, I can't wait to see his little face.

Pictures make every post better so I thought I'd share the newest photos of my adorable twin neices - I can't believe how cute they are....and I LOVE their little outfits! These little 5 week old ladies are growing so fast they have already outgrown newborn diapers - which is a bonus for us considering little William will inherit the remaining case :)

"Hey Margaret, we could have brought a lot more stuff if you didn't bring your idiotic doll and all her junk!" Name that movie...

Apparently having a baby requires the purchase of many accessories which so far I don't mind shopping for; but the pressure is really on to make the best deal and get the safest, cutest, most durable product for our exceptional, hopefully adorable child :).

I feel like we're entering a whole new world before the baby is even here - so many decisions.
Clothes are fun and we have purchased a couple things from the sale racks at Macy's, Target and Nordstrom. I love making blankets, and plan on devoting my summer to anything I can possibly sew for my baby. We were very lucky to have been given several of the big items (crib, swing, changing table, plus more) from Buck's niece and nephews who have outgrown them. I am shocked at their condition - they don't even look used at all; not to mention saving us tons of money!

The problem is deciding (and agreeing) on which things we do need to buy. We finally argued our way to a stroller purchase and - I think - we are both happy. I did a little research online and talked Buck out of the stroller/car seat he wanted (a Graco with plastic wheels) and into the BOB Revolution stroller - now he is so excited about it that he already assembled it and tested it out and is quite certain it's the finest stroller available. What do you think?

Up next...a rocker/glider for the baby's room (so expensive), crib bedding and nursery decorations (I want to make them, he wants to buy them), whether or not to paint the crib (any advice here would be great, I want a darker stain but he doesn't think it's safe to refinish it), bottles, highchair, and so much more we probably haven't even realized we need yet....help!

No better time to start a new blog :)

It's the truth, we are having a baby...here is his adorable little face! We found out today that it's a boy...and our due date of August 28th is pretty accurate. We are very excited and can't wait to start shopping!!

The sick, miserable part of pregnancy is behind me (at least for now) and things are feeling pretty happy and healthy around here. Papa to be is really really excited -especially now that it's a boy. He is already setting up all the baby furniture and so far he doesn't even argue when I want to look in ALL the baby stores.

Thanks for being excited for us!
